Many companies and individuals do not realize that the federal law, the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA), protects those with disabilities and is enforced in Puerto Rico.  This law places the responsibilities on private and public businesses, most organizations and professionals to provide "reasonable accommodations" for individuals with a disability.  For a deaf person, many times this "reasonable accommodation" is fulfilled at least in part by providing qualified interpreters.

We strive to provide the highest quality Sign Language Interpreting for the Puerto Rican deaf and hearing communities.

Company Profile

We provide interpreting services for our clients using Puerto Rican Sign Language (PRSL) or American Sign Language (ASL) for the deaf consumer and spoken Spanish or English for our hearing consumer.  Language preferences are chosen by the consumers.  We provide services for all types of settings which include Educational, Medical, Legal, Business and Conference Interpreting.

All SLI interpreters are members of the Puerto Rico Registry Interpreters of the Deaf (PRRID) which is a local chapter with the national sign language interpreter organization, Registry Interpreters of the Deaf (RID).  Membership in this organization guarantees strict compliance with the Interpreter's Code of Ethics.

Our president and CEO, David Rawlings B.S., has been in the Sign Language Interpreting field for over 16 years and has been involved in the Puerto Rican deaf community since his youth.  He understands the deaf, their history and language which, combined, provides innovative leadership for the highest quality sign language interpreting in Puerto Rico.
